The Joint Council of Knights, Province of the Niger, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), has congratulated Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, on their re-election and swearing-in for a second term.
In a statement signed by Chairman Sir Ken Mmoya and Secretary Sir Henry N. Agu, the group praised the governor’s vision for Anambra State and expressed optimism that his second tenure would deliver greater development and improved living standards.
However, the knights raised concerns over what they described as a lack of equitable representation in recent political appointments. They noted that a significant majority of appointees, including mayors and deputy mayors emerging from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) primaries for the forthcoming local government elections, were drawn from a single Christian denomination.
The group called on the governor to ensure fair inclusion of Anglican members and other denominations in future appointments, stressing that balanced representation would promote unity, social harmony, and political stability.
They reaffirmed their support for the administration and urged the governor to reflect the state’s religious diversity in governance.
