Following the increasing number of indigent students in society as a result of the prevailing economic hardship, a frontline aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu has promised to rescue the situation.

The major APGA contender in the coming election during an interview expressed his readiness to attract massive Federal Government scholarship opportunities for students from the constituency.

Chief Iyiegbu, popularly called Ike Cubana explained that education remains one of the most powerful tools for empowering young people and securing the future of any society.

He noted that many brilliant students in Idemili North and South are currently struggling to complete their education due to financial challenges facing their families.

According to him, it would be unacceptable for any promising student in the constituency to lose the opportunity of becoming a graduate simply because of lack of financial support.

“I will not fold my hands as a Federal lawmaker and watch our young people abandon their academic dreams.

“I will work closely with relevant Federal Government agencies to ensure that our students benefit from available scholarship schemes and educational grants,” he said.

The APGA aspirant further explained that beyond scholarships, he would also use his legislative position to attract greater Federal Government presence in the education sector to Idemili North and South Federal Constituency.

He emphasized that the area deserves to benefit from the siting of Federal educational institutions, noting that the presence of such institutions would not only expand access to higher education but also stimulate economic growth and development within the constituency.

Chief Iyiegbu assured constituents that his vision is to ensure that Idemili North and South become a hub of educational advancement where every determined student has the opportunity to pursue quality education without unnecessary obstacles.

He added that investing in education would help equip the youths with the skills and knowledge needed to contribute meaningfully to national development and reduce unemployment in the long run.
