The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nnewi North Local Government Area has successfully conducted its congress, reaffirming and returning its executive members while declaring total readiness to mobilize massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking after the congress, the Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors for President Tinubu in Nnewi North and party stakeholder, Hon. Sir Nnamdi Udeaja, described the exercise at the weekend as a peaceful and strategic affirmation of the existing leadership structure.
According to him, the decision to retain the executives from the Chairman down to other officers was in line with directives from the party’s higher leadership to ensure stability, unity, and continuity within the party structure.
He explained that the instruction was clear: all local government executive members should continue in office except those who have completed two tenures, those who are deceased, or those who have defected from the party.
The move, he noted, was aimed at fostering harmony and strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 polls.
Udeaja further disclosed that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), alongside party stakeholders and other relevant bodies, monitored the congress, which he described as orderly and transparent.
He commended the leadership of the party in the council area, led by Chairman Hon. Innocent Orizu and Secretary Hon. Nnamdi Azubuko, for ensuring a smooth and consensus-driven process.
He emphasized that the APC family in Nnewi North remains united and committed to delivering overwhelming support for President Tinubu in 2027.
“We are not preparing merely to participate in the 2027 election; we are determined to win convincingly. The administration of President Tinubu has positively impacted many Nigerians.
“There are visible improvements across various sectors, and key reforms are already yielding results. Efforts to combat corruption are being pursued decisively under his leadership, ”Udeaja said.
He added that the party is poised to challenge the dominance of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State, expressing confidence that the political landscape in the state will witness significant change in the coming elections.
The APC Nnewi North leadership, he assured, remains focused, united, and committed to consolidating its structure while mobilizing grassroots support to secure victory for President Tinubu and the party in 2027.
