The Labour Party candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Ven. Tochukwu Ikezue, has visited the Traditional Ruler of Ogidi Kingdom, Igwe Pharm. Alex Uzo Onyido, to seek royal blessings ahead of the 2027 elections.
During the visit, Ikezue presented the Labour Party flag to the monarch, describing it as a symbol of the party’s ideals and values. He pledged to provide quality representation if elected and urged party supporters to remain united and peaceful.
Responding, Igwe Onyido commended the candidate for engaging with grassroots communities and advised political actors to promote peace, decorum and responsible conduct throughout the electoral process.
The visit formed part of Ikezue’s ongoing consultations and grassroots mobilisation across the senatorial district.
