Orluzurumee lauds Uzodimma’s achievements, unites Orlu people

  Orluzurumee Socio-Cultural Organization (OZM)  held an expanded Orlu leadership and stakeholders meeting on Saturday at Mayor Eze Hall, Orlu Council Headquarters, Imo State.

 Who is who from the 12 Council Areas of the Orlu Zone in addition to their traditional rulers converged in a historic rendezvous to rub minds. 

Some of the strategic decisions reached at the epoch meeting were a vote of confidence given to the Governor,  Senator Hope Uzodimma for his revolutionary achievements in human capacity development, infrastructure, health, among others as well as cutting of Onwa Oyoko’s birthday cake.

  Basking on the meeting’s theme: “A New Dawn For Unity, Development And Cultural Renaissance”, rejuvenated OZM, led by its National President, Hon, Prince Ugochukwu Nzekwe, convoked the meeting starting with the accreditation of the Excos of each 12 LGAs of the Orlu Zone.

Among the highlights of the reunion was the unity, peace and progress prayers offered over the kolanuts by Eze Imo, HRM, Eze E.C. Okeke (Eze Udo Amaifeke), HRM, Eze Obiwuru Obiefule (Okairoro Umudioka Ancient Kingdom)  na Eze Ndị Ozo.

 Executive Chairman of Orlu LGA, Hon, Pst Chris Mbarie, JP, after cordially welcoming  all present, approved Mayor Eze Hall for Orluzurumee meetings.

According to him: “Orlu LGA is the headquarters of Orlu Zone and any issue that matters to the Zone should be brought here for discussion.

He commended Governor Hope Uzodimma’s 3R government for accelerated pace of development the good and industrious people of Orlu are witnessing.

 He, therefore, urged  OZM leaders and stakeholders to give Onwa Oyoko Global a befitting home coming civic reception.

 However, Hon Ngozi Obiefule moved vote of confidence motion on Governor Uzodimma’s administration and was seconded by Hon, Pst Chris Mbarie, even as Ndi-Eze prayed and poured libations to sustain the unity, peace and progressive development prevalent in Orlu.

To support and give Prince Nzekwe led Orluzurumee a financial solidarity, the former OZM President General, Chief Emeka Diwe (Ezebube) donated One Million Naira, Chief, Barr Reuben Okoro (Homeland) donated One Million Naira, and others followed suit.

Among the distinguished dignitaries in attendance were Prof Chuka Okonkwo; Prof Ukachukwu Awuzie; Prof Francis Dike (Chairman of Orlu Council of Elders); Prof Protus Nathan Uzorma (OZM Vice Presido); Chief Chime Nzeribe; Chief Chris Osiobu (Guber).

Others are Chief Dr Emma Maduike (Coordinator of all Coordinators);  Ichie Louis Chiegene (host Coordr, Orlu LGA); Chief, Sir Fort Okorie (Otigbuinyinya), the Master of Ceremony and others.
