A total of 933 members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream I of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have successfully completed their one-year national service in Anambra State.
State Coordinator, Mrs. Pauline Ojisua, announced this during the passing-out ceremony held in Ihiala on Thursday. She disclosed that nine corps members who absconded from service would repeat the service year, while two others had their service extended for disciplinary reasons.
Ojisua also revealed that five corps members were retained by their employers in recognition of their outstanding performance.
She urged the discharged corps members to make use of the entrepreneurial skills acquired through the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme to become self-reliant instead of waiting for white-collar jobs.
She further encouraged them to remain good ambassadors of the NYSC and Nigeria as they begin a new phase of life.
Certificates of National Service were issued simultaneously across the 21 local government areas of the state.
