The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Hon. Dozie Nwankwo, popularly known as Onyendozi, has pledged to deliver people-focused representation if elected in the 2027 general election.
Speaking while receiving members of his political family at his residence, Nwankwo said the Senate requires leaders with vision, compassion and a strong commitment to development rather than “bench warmers.”
He said he was inspired by the achievements of Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, whose constituency projects in education, healthcare, infrastructure and social welfare have attracted national attention despite her political challenges.
Nwankwo urged Anambra Central voters to elect leaders with proven records of service, stressing that he has already demonstrated his commitment through scholarships, medical outreaches, youth and women empowerment programmes, employment facilitation, ICT development, borehole projects and other community interventions.
According to him, he facilitated the establishment of a Federal College of Agriculture, an ICT development centre equipped with 500 computers, and has supported thousands of widows and youths through empowerment initiatives.
He promised to build on Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s development agenda by attracting more federal projects and opportunities to the seven local government areas in Anambra Central if elected.
Nwankwo called on eligible voters across the district to support his candidacy, expressing confidence that APGA would secure victory in the senatorial election.
