Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has assured the people of Umunneochi Local Government Area that his administration will intensify efforts to deliver more transformative projects, declaring that the overwhelming appreciation shown by the people has strengthened his resolve to serve them better.

The governor gave the assurance during a grand reception organised by stakeholders and residents of Umunneochi in recognition of what they described as his remarkable leadership and the developmental strides recorded under his administration.

Addressing the gathering, Otti expressed deep gratitude for the warm reception and unwavering support, describing the honour as both humbling and inspiring.

He said the celebration was not only an endorsement of his administration’s performance but also a challenge to deliver even greater dividends of democracy across every community in the state.

“This reception is not just an appreciation of what we have done; it is a call to do even more.

I assure the good people of Umunneochi that we will not relent in our commitment to bringing sustainable development to every part of the local government and Abia State as a whole,” the governor said.

Otti highlighted ongoing interventions in Umunneochi, including road rehabilitation, improved public infrastructure, enhanced healthcare delivery, quality education, security, and programmes designed to empower youths and women.

He reiterated that his administration remains committed to prudent management of public resources, transparency, and accountability, stressing that governance must be measured by tangible improvements in the lives of the people rather than political rhetoric.

The governor also reaffirmed his determination to open up rural communities through strategic infrastructure development, create economic opportunities, and ensure that no part of Abia is left behind in the state’s development agenda.

Earlier, community leaders and stakeholders commended Otti for what they described as a new era of purposeful and people-centred governance.

They applauded his commitment to infrastructure renewal, good governance, and inclusive development, while urging him to sustain the momentum.

The colourful event attracted traditional rulers, political leaders, religious figures, youth and women groups, and other dignitaries from across Abia State.
