The Anambra State Police Command on Friday received another significant vote of confidence as former Inspector-General of Police, Mike Okiro, mni, and former Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Chief Simon Okeke, paid a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Awka.
The eminent statesmen, accompanied by former Permanent Secretary of the Police Service Commission, Dr Michael Ibeh, were warmly received by the Commissioner of Police, recently promoted Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Ikioye Orutugu, fwc, minps, PhD, alongside members of the Command’s Management Team and other senior officers.
The visit highlighted the importance of sustained collaboration between the Police, community leaders and critical stakeholders in strengthening security, promoting effective policing and deepening public trust across Anambra State.
The Police Command described the visit as a strong endorsement of its ongoing efforts to uphold professionalism, intelligence-led policing and community partnership in combating crime and ensuring public safety.
According to the Command, the visit reflects the increasing public confidence in its operations and reinforces the shared commitment to building a safer and more secure Anambra.
The Command reaffirmed its resolve to sustain close engagement with stakeholders and members of the public in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police to build a more people-oriented, accountable and responsive Nigeria Police Force.
