Olisa Metuh Foundation empowers over 200 less privileged in Nnewi

Former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart, Chief Olisa Metuh through his foundation, The Olisa Metuh Foundation has empowered over hundred indigents with cash worth millions of Naira.

During the event which took place at Umuanuka hall in Otolo Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, on March 5, 2025, the Foundation, disbursed ₦14 million interest-free micro-credit loans to 28 persons who received N500,000 each for their businesses to be paid back biannually to the bank.

Fourteen persons were awarded scholarship with the sum of N200,000 each and others were given reasonable amounts to add to their businesses.

Speaking during the event, Chief Metuh who was the former PDP National Publicity Secretary said he loved helping people because of the blessings attached to it.

He revealed that he has helped a lot of people, adding that he derived joy doing that.

Chief Metuh advised people who God has blessed to give back to society, saying that the benefactors would receive such blessings in hundred folds.

He disclosed that in November, 2025, which would mark his 60th birthday, he would give 60 persons from his community N1million each to add to their businesses.

Metuh further revealed that he would build a skill acquisition center for his community, Umuanuka in Otolo Nnewi. He added that youths would be trained and empowered with cash and equipment to start up their businesses at the acquisition center.

The beneficiaries appreciated the benefactor and prayed that God would reward him abundantly.

The event was fully graced by PDP Chairman, Nnewi North Local Government, Prince Ifeamuma Nwafor-Orizu, the committee Chairman of the Foundation, Dr Ikenna, the secretary, Mr Onyedika Metuh, among others.
