Eid-el-Maulud: Federal Polytechnic, Oko, declares major holiday, felicitates with Muslims

The Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, has announced Friday, September 5, 2025 as public holiday.

This announcement is in compliance with the declaration of Friday, September 5, as public holiday, by the Federal Government, to enable Muslim faithful in the country join their counterparts the world over in the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud.

In a press statement issued by the Polytechnic’s Public Relations Officer, Chijioke Ibezimako, dated Wednesday, September 3, 2025, Rector of the institution, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, wishes Muslims in the Federal Polytechnic, Oko and across the country a happy and peaceful celebration.

The statement reads, “I am directed to inform the polytechnic community that the Federal Government has declared Friday, September 5, 2025 a public holiday to mark this year’s Eid-el-Maulud celebration.

” Consequently, the Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, wishes all Muslims in the Federal Polytechnic, Oko and across the nation a happy and peaceful celebration.”
