Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Christabel Egbenya is not ready to make public her husband’s identity despite pressure from fans.
In an encounter with Saturday Sun, the mother of one said she would rather enjoy her two-year-old marriage in peace than engage in social media rant with fans.
“Yes, I am not ready to post my man’s face on the Internet because I am not ready for social media love (laughs). Nothing on social media shows the full story. Everyone has issues, insecurities. Every human alive is fighting a battle they don’t want to talk about. Don’t let your mind create a fairy tale. No one escapes real life issues,” she declared.
However, in the spirit of Yuletide, according to Saturday Sun, Egbenya will feed thousands of children on December 14 through her Child Talent Foundation. In her words: “It’s not easy to be alive to witness another 365 days considering what we are passing through in the country. I am doing this to thank God for giving me another chance, and also help those that I think I may be better than. When you give to charity, you are helping to fund important projects and programmes, and sending a powerful message of hope and compassion.
“In addition, by showing that you care about the wellbeing of others, you inspire others to do the same. In this way, generousity creates a ripple effect that can improve the world. Our foundation was officially registered this year, but I’ve been doing my charity work more for than 10 years now.”
