Respect late Senator Ubah’s last wish, as you vote for ruling party, APC — APC Chairman, Nnewi North

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nnewi North Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Innocent Orizu JP, has declared that the party is fully primed to win the August 16 Anambra South Senatorial by-election.

Speaking to journalists at his Uruagu, Nnewi residence on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, Orizu said the APC faithful across Anambra South are united to sustain the political legacy of the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

“We understood the vision of the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and believed in him till his death. Many people joined APC because of him. That is why our Senatorial and Governorship candidates must win on August 16 and November 8,” he said.

Orizu predicted “protest votes” against the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), alleging widespread discontent with Governor Charles Soludo’s policies.

“The people of Anambra State are not happy with Governor Soludo because of excessive taxation and harassment by his agents. He has provoked the people enough. Many have left APGA for APC,” he said, adding that alleged rigging during last year’s local government elections would not be possible under the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The APC chairman argued that since Senator Ubah joined the APC before his demise, the party had surged in popularity, positioning itself as the state’s dominant force.

He also touted the credentials of the party’s senatorial flagbearer, Chief Azuka Okwuosa, describing him as “a proven leader who, as chairman of old Nnewi and Commissioner for Works in 1999, delivered impactful projects, including the construction of Igwe Orizu Road.”

Orizu urged voters to “respect the last wish” of Senator Ubah by aligning with the party at the centre for greater development benefits.
