Anambra State Government has scored an impressive 100 per cent in the recently released Q3 Sub-National Open Government Partnership (OGP) assessment, emerging as the only state in the Southeast geopolitical zone classified as exceptional.
The latest assessment places Anambra among only a handful of states out of the 28 Nigerian states participating in the Open Government Partnership to achieve the highest performance rating.
The result, according to the assessment indicators, reflects the state’s commitment to strengthening institutional frameworks, implementing its action plan and meeting key benchmarks under the Open Government Partnership.
The latest feat comes shortly after Anambra also scored 100 per cent in the Open Government Assessment list of healthy states in Nigeria in July, further highlighting what officials describe as the state’s steady progress towards sustainable growth, transparency and effective governance.
Anambra is among the 28 Nigerian states that voluntarily signed up to the Open Government Partnership, committing to multi-stakeholder engagement, political commitment, strong governance structures and digital transformation.
The sub-national assessments are based on how well participating states implement these commitments and translate them into governance reforms capable of impacting citizens.
With the latest ranking, Anambra remains the only state in the Southeast to attain the exceptional classification under the assessment, reinforcing its position as a leading state in open and digitally driven governance.
