Twenty-five blind Nigerians have received Hable One braille devices through a partnership between the Disability Rights Protection Initiative (DRP Initiative) and Sterling Bank Plc.
DRP Initiative Executive Director, Chikwado Chukwu, said the donation marked World Braille Day and was aimed at helping blind and visually impaired students and professionals use smartphones and computers more independently.
He explained that the Hable One is a portable braille keyboard that connects to mobile devices, improving accessibility and productivity.
Chukwu praised Sterling Bank for supporting disability inclusion by funding the devices and noted that the bank’s OneBank app also offers accessibility features for blind, deaf and wheelchair users.
