The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Sector Command, has urged parents to always secure babies in the back seat while driving to reduce the risk of injuries during crashes.
Sector Commander, Corps Commander Bridget Asekhauno, gave the advice during a road safety outreach at Jesus is Alive Church, Eziowelle, where she addressed over 1,000 worshippers on the theme, “Getting to Your Destination Safely is in Your Hands.”
Human Actions Cause Crashes
Asekhauno stressed that most road crashes result from human error rather than spiritual causes. She warned against using mobile phones while driving, overloading vehicles, and ignoring traffic rules.
She also encouraged motorists to obey road signs and share road safety messages within their communities.
Church Commends FRSC
General Overseer, Archbishop Dr. Onyekachukwu Nzekwesi, praised the FRSC for the awareness campaign and urged members of the congregation to comply with traffic regulations. He also prayed for God’s protection over FRSC personnel.
The outreach featured the distribution of road safety flyers and interactive sessions, with State Coordinator of the Special Marshals, Michael Ogbusa, in attendance.
