Women and youths in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State have thrown their weight behind Hon.
Arinzechukwu Awogu as their preferred candidate to represent Ogbaru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
The endorsement came during a gathering of youths from major political parties at Umu-Daike Village, Atani, where participants said the time had come to chart a new course for the constituency.
The youths unanimously declared that the APC standard bearer for the January 16, 2027 National Assembly election, Hon. Awogu, remains the most reliable voice to represent the people of Ogbaru at the federal level.
“Sir Arinzechukwu Awogu, PhD, is our choice candidate for the upcoming general election because he is eminently qualified for the job, loved by people at the grassroots, and highly accessible,” the youths stated.
According to them, political affiliations would be set aside in the interest of the constituency’s development.
“We have resolved to put party differences aside and work towards ensuring the victory of the APC flag bearer.
We know him, we trust him, and we believe he has the capacity to bring about positive change in Ogbaru Federal Constituency,” they added.
Speaking during the event, Tochukwu Ike described Awogu as a tested leader whose record in public service speaks for itself.
“Hon. Awogu distinguished himself as the former Chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Area.
He initiated several developmental projects and received numerous awards and recognitions.
His achievements remain unmatched,” he said.
Ike further noted that the people of Ogbaru could not afford to make the wrong choice in the 2027 election, insisting that Awogu remains the best candidate for the position.
Also speaking, Josephine Chukwuma said the endorsement reflected the widespread acceptance of Awogu among women, youths, and supporters of good governance across the constituency.
“Today’s meeting is a clear testament to the outstanding qualities and broad acceptance of Hon. Awogu among the people of Ogbaru Federal Constituency.
“We will return to our communities and continue to spread the message about our preferred candidate to every nook and cranny of the constituency at the appropriate time,” she said.
