The Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency (ANSAA) has released guidelines for political campaign advertisements ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in Awka, ANSAA Assistant General Manager, Engr Chika Ngobili, said all political parties and candidates must obtain permits before displaying campaign materials across the state.
According to him, approved permit fees are N50 million for presidential candidates, N20 million for senatorial candidates, N5 million for House of Representatives candidates, and N1.5 million for State Assembly candidates.
Others include N2.5 million for local government chairmanship candidates and N100,000 for councillorship candidates.
Ngobili said the guidelines were aimed at ensuring a peaceful, orderly and lawful campaign environment while protecting public infrastructure and preventing visual pollution.
He added that all campaign materials must be approved by the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) before deployment.
The agency also warned against defacing opponents’ posters and banned indiscriminate placement of campaign materials on public facilities, road signs, bridges, schools and hospitals.
Ngobili said ANSAA enforcement teams would monitor compliance and sanction violators in line with the law.
