Obi and Kwankwaso
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has invited Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso to join its platform and take up its presidential and vice-presidential tickets ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a post on X, the party urged both politicians to act within a two-week window, saying the opportunity was time-bound.
The appeal comes amid the “OK Movement” launched by supporters to promote a possible joint ticket.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed May 30, 2026, as the deadline for submission of party registers and candidate nominations, though opposition parties are pushing for an extension.
Meanwhile, ADC stakeholders have accused the All Progressives Congress and the presidency of allegedly influencing the Supreme Court of Nigeria over a leadership dispute—claims yet to be officially addressed.
