We’re fully prepared to reelect Governor Soludo — Nnewi Electrical/Electronic Market Chairman, Nwizu

The Chairman of the Electrical and Electronic Market, Nnewi, Anambra State, Mr Maduka Nwizu, has declared that traders in the market are fully prepared to support Governor Charles Soludo’s reelection bid.

Mr Maduka Nwizu

Speaking with our correspondent on Friday ahead of the November 8 governorship election, Nwizu said the traders would vote overwhelmingly for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to ensure Soludo’s return for a second term.

He described the Governor as a visionary Economist and technocrat whose leadership has brought visible transformation across the state.

“There’s no basis to compare a mere businessman who knows little about governance with a Professor of Economics,” Nwizu said.

He added that Governor Soludo’s first tenure is full of achievements. Everyone can see that he’s doing exceptionally well.

“Today, people can sleep with their two eyes closed because he has effectively tackled insecurity in the state. He has fought criminals to a standstill.”

The market leader also commended Soludo’s massive road projects, erosion control measures, and infrastructural development, saying that he is one of the beneficiaries of good road network when the Governor constructed Nkwo to Nkwo road that passed by his house.

“In the past, erosion was wreaking havoc in Anambra, but our able Governor, Oluatuegwu, has fixed many erosion sites,” he said. “What about the road from Agulu to Okija through Ozubulu, now being dualized? No one believed it would ever happen, but our amiable Governor is doing it.”

Expressing confidence in Soludo’s reelection, Nwizu added, “We are preparing for 4×4 for our Governor. His Excellency will complete the good job he started. Those interested in the seat should wait until he finishes the next four years.”

He recalled that years ago, when asked to choose between Prof. Soludo and Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, he had chosen Soludo even before he became Governor.

“I saw him as a mentor and a man of vision,” Nwizu said. “Today, I’m proud that my choice is right, ”he concluded.
