Despite the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)’s warning that there must be total compliance on Thursday in remembrance of the fallen heroes of the Biafra civil war, the WAECSSCE Mathematics examination still took place in Nnewi.

When our Correspondent went round the town, schools like Fountain of Wisdom, Good Shepherd, among others were busy writing the WAEC exam.

The security guards at the schools visited said they experienced no disruption of any kind.

But apart from that, every other establishment in Nnewi was closed including the Nkwo Nnewi market, banks, private companies, and even the street traders were off their business areas in compliance with the order.

Some residents expected that security operatives would be parading at strategic areas including the local vigilance groups but none was seen anywhere.

The town, however, became busy again a little bit after 4:00pm.
