The Police Community Relation Committee (PCRC) Area Command Nnewi, led by Chairman Hon. Amobi Okonkwo (Anunuebe/OkwuekwuluṅụọiyiAnaedo) has paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Echezona Anazodo, Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government and Chief Security Officer of the locale, at the Nnewi North Local Government Secretariat.

The visit, aimed at fostering collaborative security initiatives, afforded Hon. Okonkwo the platform to apprise the Mayor of PCRC’s multifaceted efforts in augmenting law enforcement efficacy, particularly in crime control and community policing.
Extolling the Mayor’s unwavering support for security architecture in Nnewi North, Hon. Okonkwo further lauded his pivotal role in fortifying security networks, citing the procurement of a state-of-the-art fire service vehicle, alongside the recruitment and training of firefighting personnel, measures that underscore his commitment to emergency preparedness.
Reiterating PCRC’s steadfast readiness to partner with the local government and other stakeholders, Hon. Okonkwo emphasized the imperative of depoliticizing security and ensuring peace transcends partisan affiliations.
He appealed to the Mayor to furnish the Area Command Nnewi with a vehicle, akin to the support he extended to other divisions in Nnewi, to facilitate operational duties, noting the loss of their patrol vehicle to arson during the EndSARS inferno.
Additionally, he announced PCRC’s offer to volunteer in traffic management during the yuletide season, ensuring unimpeded mobility on major roads in Nnewi.
Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Ubah, Women Coordinator of PCRC, commended the Mayor’s commendable tenure and exhorted him to sustain his dedication to Ndị Nnewi’s welfare.
She reaffirmed the group’s resolve to collaborate with the local government toward a secure and peaceful town.
In his response, Hon. Echezona Anazodo welcomed the delegation, expressing appreciation for their partnership overture and pledging reciprocal support.
