The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaechie has expressed his preparedness to bring the higher institution to national and global positive perspective.

Prof Anyaechie gave the assurance at UNIZIK on Tuesday in a press conference after the announcement of his appointment.

He further assured that the narrative that presents the institution in a bad light when googled would be changed to restore the lost glory of the UNIZIK.

“When you google, you won’t see any pleasant news about UNIZIK, we will change the trajectory.

In the next three or four weeks we will begin with commissioning of projects. We will invite relevant stakeholders from America and other places. The alumni are here ready to help us.

“I learnt there is no medical center for the students at Okofia campus, Nnewi. By February we will be able to commission something there. We’re here to make things better.
