Igbo suffer for voting Peter Obi, says Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer

One of the Senior lawyers handling the case
of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Mr Aloy
Ejimakor has wondered the basis for one Nigeria when the IPOB leader is left to
rot away in DSS detention facility against the expectation of the Igbo and non-Igbo
alike.

Mr Ejimakor insisted that the Igbo were being
punished for voting for the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr
Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election.

In his analysis, he said that those who
punished Ndigbo for voting for their own son forgot that in previous
presidential elections the Igbo also voted for Alhaji Shehu Shagari; Chief
Olusegun Obasanjo; Musa Yar’Dua; Goodluck Ebere Jonathan and Alhaji Atiku
Abubakar.

He said that in the same manner, the Yoruba
voted for Chief Obasanjo, Ijaw people rooted for Jonathan while Hausa-Fulani
voted for Shagari, Yar’Dua and Atiku.

Mr Ejimakor said that if Ndigbo were not
being suffered for voting Mr Obi, that Nnamdi Kanu should be released to prove
him wrong.

He said he had also spoken on the issues concerning Biafra as a
representative  of Chief Uwazuruike at a visual conference organized by
Unrepresented Nations and People’s Organizations (UNPO) on July 29, 2021.

He said he also participated in  a -3 -day intensive course on
information management and dissemination  organised by the Senator
who represented Abia North senatorial district, Uche Chukwumerije at his Ngodo
Isuochi residence  in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State, among
others.

Mocha insisted that having  contributed immensely  to the
development and progress  of the organization and still making more inputs
towards achieving the sovereignty of Biafra, he had paid his dues for Ndigbo in
particular and Biafra in general.
