Barcelona looks set to pounce on the chance to sign Super Eagles combative midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi once his contract expires at the King Power Stadium.
The club was left with a bitter experience after a painful 4-2 loss in the Catalan derby to FC Girona.
According to Fichajes, the defeat has made Barcelona revive interest in Wilfred Ndidi.
Sporting Sun reports that Ndidi who played 83 matches for Genk, scoring 7 goals and making 3 assists, in January 2017 moved to Leicester for just under €18 million. He currently has 256 appearances for the Foxes with 15 goals, 17 assists. His trophy cabinet includes one FA Cup and one Community Shield.
According to Transfermarkt, Ndidi is currently worth less than €18 million in the market.
Ndidi’s contract expires at the end of this season and therefore fits perfectly into Barcelona’s cheap transfer policy.
Recall the Blaugrana had reportedly shown interest in the Nigerian midfielder in the past. However, negotiations then stalled due to the high asking price of Leicester, who wanted €60 million.
