Arc. Onuchukwu declares just concluded Nzuko-Ora Nnewi election as free, fair, credible

A foremost Nnewi Community Leader and grassroots political mobilizer, Arc. K.C. Onuchukwu who is equally the CEO of DIGITAL Construction Company Ltd., has confirmed that the just concluded Nzuko-Ora Nnewi election was free, fair, credible and generally accepted by the majority of the people of Nnewi.

He added that the two candidates were given an equal level playing ground to showcase themselves and display their worth.

While congratulating the newly elected President General of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, Prince Jude Osumuo, Arc. Onuchukwu commended the Board of Trustees Chairman and members of the Electoral Committee for a job well done.

He also called on the loser and others who for one reason or the other may not be comfortable with the outcome of the polls to exercise restraint and let bye gone be bye gone.

He said that Nnewi people had made their choice.

In his words: “I call on Ndi Nnewi to rally round and support the new executive led by Prince Jude Osumuo, so that they can take Nnewi to the next level.”

Arc. Onuchukwu who is a past President of Otolo Youth Forum, former Caretaker President of Nnewi Youth Forum, President of Rotary International Club and one time President of Egbu Community, further described Prince Osumuo as a man with a good track record of excellent leadership who had done very well in all the leadership roles he had been entrusted with in the past.

On his opinion concerning the way forward for Nnewi after the Nzuko-Ora election, Arc. Onuchukwu said now is the time to work together and move the town forward, especially as there are two young and dynamic people in the persons of Hon. Echezona Anazodo as Mayor of Nnewi North and Prince Osumuo as Nzuko-Ora President-General at the helm of affairs in Nnewi.

He described both of whom as tested and trusted Community leaders with enviable pedigrees and purpose driven leadership qualities.

On his view concerning the age-long zoning of sensitive political positions in Nnewi, he said: “The zoning system has contributed immensely to the peace, unity and progress of Nnewi, as every quarter and village knows what is allotted to them at every point in time.

“I give my support for the zoning formular to continue, “he added.

Concerning the State Government, he posited that the Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo has done very well, stating that: “I commend him for performing very well in the areas of road constructions and re-constructions, security and prudent economic management.

“However, we are still waiting for our leader Omekannaya to tell us the direction to go in respect of the forthcoming Governorship election.”
