The zonal leader of markets in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu has reassured that Professor Charles Soludo’s second tenure remains sacrosanct.
Chief Ochiogu who doubles as the President General of Ogbaru Main Market gave the assurance after taking newsmen round Soludo Support Group (SSG) office which he opened at Ogbaru Main Market.
Chief Ochiogu who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) disclosed that the idea of inaugurating the SSG for the traders to be abreast of the activities of the group in the markets is a good development and would be a bonus for Soludo’s re-election.
He described market as a good network for dissemination of information and a gathering place for all classes of people living in different directions, adding that good governance of Professor Soludo and his developmental strides would now flow down to the grassroots level properly.
” I was the one who started Soludo Support Group in Ogbaru Main Market in 2019 even before I was elected as the President of the market and I made it popular in the market to the extent that the numerical strength of SSG members now is overwhelming.
” Therefore, it is a good strategy to involve traders very well in the awareness of Soludo’s achievements because they are the people who will spread the news as well as friends of the Governor. They love the programmes and agenda of Professor Soludo as they are among the beneficiaries of Soludo’s transformation agenda, “he said.
He, however, slammed those who he said were peddling fake news about Soludo’s administration and advised them to be careful with their utterances and stop misinforming Anambra people. He warned them that there is no amount of vituperation that would make Anambra State to go back to the dark days again.
” There is no point arguing about achievements of Professor Soludo. It is there for verification. Soludo’s administration is ” Ahia oma na-ere onwoya” (a good business that attracts patrons to itself). Just watch what he has done within 24 months in office, imagine what Anambra would be like if he completes 8 years as Governor.
” So, nobody will defeat Soludo because he is on the ground working massively and has more supporters than any opposition group. I’t sure he will be in office for 8 years, no vacancy in Agu Awka Government House, “he added.
Ochiogu further appreciated the coordination of the markets by the Special Adviser to Soludo on Trade and Markets, Chief Sir. Everist Uba, saying that Uba has demonstrated sound leadership disposition towards Anambra markets.
He equally commended the efforts of the President-General of Anambra State Market Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA), Chief Humphrey Anuna ( Onwa Oraeri) who he said has brought peace and tranquility to the markets through his wealth of experience in market leadership.
