The Anambra State Government says the next phase of the Solution Innovation District (SID) will focus on expanding digital infrastructure, supporting startups, and creating more technology-driven jobs across the state.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation and CEO of SID, Ms. Chinwe Okoli, said the initiative is a key part of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s second-term agenda to strengthen Anambra’s position as a technology and innovation hub.
Okoli disclosed that several Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firms are preparing to establish operations in the state, attracted by the growing pool of digitally skilled youths trained through government-backed innovation programmes.
She said the firms are expected to recruit young professionals for global digital economy roles, creating employment opportunities and boosting economic growth.
According to her, efforts are also underway to fully activate the new SID facility, attract more technology companies, and strengthen job-matching systems that connect trained youths with international employment opportunities.
