The Peace and Positive Living Awareness Centre (PEPOLAC) has laid the foundation for its proposed Peace and Leadership Centre at Okpenubve Estate, near the International Convention Centre in Agu-Awka, Anambra State.

Estimated at N1.2 billion, the multi-purpose facility will feature a conference hall, offices for the International College of Peace Advocates, training and diplomatic offices, executive suites, and guest accommodations, among other amenities.
Speaking at the ceremony, PEPOLAC International President, Bishop Ozioma Ozoemena, described the project as a landmark initiative aimed at promoting peace, leadership development, and conflict resolution across communities.
He noted that the centre would serve as a hub for training, research, and international collaboration on sustainable development, while also empowering youths and vulnerable groups.
Ozoemena appealed to government, corporate organisations, and development partners to support the project, which is expected to be completed within two years. He emphasized that contributions could come in various forms, including building materials and financial support.
He also called on the Anambra State Government to assist with access roads to the site, noting that the project has already begun attracting development to the area.
In their remarks, former Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Mike Mbama Okiro, Ambassador Francis Ikechukwu, and project engineer, Engr. Victory Nnamekwe, commended the initiative and urged stakeholders to support it.
The event featured the induction of new peace ambassadors and the ceremonial laying of foundation blocks.
