Guber Poll: Youth group vows to deliver polling units for Soludo

The Anambra State Town Unions Council, Youth Wing, otherwise called ASTUC YOUTH has assured mobilization of youths in the state to vote massively for Governor Chukwuma Soludo come November 8 governorship election.

President General ASTUC Youth, Comrade Ken Okoli who gave the assurance during the official inauguration of Our Youth Empowerment Solution (OYES) said the group was established for the sole purpose of supporting, campaigning and delivering massive votes for Soludo.

He said the governor has distinguished himself in every sector of development more especially in the area of youth empowerment within the three years of his administration

“We inaugurated the state council for the campaign for supporting the re-election of Mr Governor Charles Soludo tagged ‘Our Youth Empowerment Solution (OYES), which Mr Governor symbolizes.

“ASTUC Youth has mobilize the youths to vote massively for Mr. Governor because he has distinguished himself in every sector of development more especially in the area of youth empowerment within the three years of his administration.

“Because of that, we want this empowerment to continue, and this lies on the mandate of voting him into power again come Nov 8 gubernatorial election”.

Describing ASTUC YOUTH leaders as grassroot oriented, Okoli said members could be seen and felt in all the nooks and crannies of the state.

“We have a plan to ensure that in every polling unit, there must be massive winning for Mr Governor where one youth or two will man the polling unit to canvas and monitor the electoral processes.

“Our target is simple we want to win every polling unit for Mr Governor”.

Okoli charged youths in the state to come out and participate on the election day.

“We don’t want youths to play football or entertain themselves but to come out massively, for those that have voter’s card to vote and those that do not have to monitor the process and make sure that every single vote counts.

State Coordinator ASTUC Youths ladies,
Omenaka Anthonia disclosed said the women were fully prepared as regards mobilizing other youths, especially the ladies for the forthcoming election.

She said, “We already have things working out as planned, and we are ever ready to vote in our solution governor for the second time.

“Women are the majority voters and also have the capacity to convince the electorates to come out and enmass and vote.

“We are also ensuring there is no voter apathy owing to the fact that Mr Solution has put in security in place, and so we are convinced of a free and fair and non-violent election in the state”.

The Youth-Mayor of Nnewi North and Chief of Staff to PG ASTUC YOUTH, Comr. Ejim Ucheagwu charged the youths to come out and vote Soludo as he has touched every spheres of human development.

“1youth 2skills, Solution Innovation District, employment opportunities, free antenatal and delivery, access to good roads where rural market people can be able to transport their goods to the urban centres to sell them.

“So the only debt we owe Mr Governor is to re-elect him for the second tenure”.

Also speaking, Councillor Umudioka ward 2 and Youth-Mayor in Dunukofia, Hon. Nelson Mbanugo stated that the inauguration of OYES was birthed because ASTUC Youth leaders believe in good governance.

“Professor Soludo is on top gear, transforming every nook and cranny of the state. He doesn’t believe in sentiments but in human capital development.

“Why we embarked on this project is that Prof Soludo is bent on empowering the youths. For the past three and half years, he has empowered the youths both in One Youth, Two skill programmes, digital innovations, and employment into the state civil service. So we want to stand with him till the next four years”.

Adding, Comrade Oforbuike Maduabuchi, Youth-Mayor Orumba South, who also doubles as the Youth President of the Eziagu community, said the reason to work and deliver Mr Governor cannot be over emphasized.

His words, “Looking at the infrastructural development and transformation going on around the state, one does not need a soothsayer to tell him or her that Soludo deserves continuity.

“One good turn deserves another, and in my community, we have a 4.3 kilometre road going on, which will be commissioned in the next few weeks. I want to inform my fellow youths that if not broken, there is no need to fix it. So far, so good.

“Our governor is doing well, and we don’t have any reason to say no. Our responsibility is to pay him back. The vote we are giving him is a thank you vote telling him he is doing well, and that is our little way of support.

“I urge the youths in different communities to come out and vote for APGA so that Mr Governor can continue his good work.”

Meanwhile, ASTUC Youth through the OYES Initiative targets to recruit over 500,000 people both within Anambra and in diaspora with the responsibility to support Mr Governor.
