Valentine Ozigbo celebrates 55th birthday with Thanksgiving Mass in Anambra

Valentine Ozigbo, a prominent Nigerian entrepreneur, banker, philanthropist, and politician, marked his 55th birthday today, July 20, 2025, with a special thanksgiving Mass held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cathedral, Ekwulobia, Anambra State.

Born on July 20, 1970, in Amesi, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, Ozigbo has had a distinguished career across the corporate, philanthropic, and political landscapes. He is the son of Mr. Andrew and Mrs. Christiana Ozigbo.

A First-Class graduate of Accounting from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Ozigbo also earned an MBA in Banking and Finance from the same institution. He built a robust banking career, serving in key leadership positions including Head of Commercial Banking at Diamond Bank and General Manager at Keystone Bank.

He later rose to national prominence as the President and CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc, a subsidiary of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp), where he oversaw significant growth and expansion.

Outside the corporate world, Ozigbo is known for his philanthropic initiatives through the Valentine Chineto Ozigbo (VCO) Foundation, which focuses on youth empowerment, education, and leadership development.

On the political front, Ozigbo joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in February 2025, having previously been a member of the Labour Party and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Today’s birthday celebration drew dignitaries, political associates, business leaders, clergy, and well-wishers who joined him in thanksgiving and prayer for continued grace and impactful service to society.
