Installs Senator Victor Umeh as Varsity’s Chancellor

Tansian University, Umunya , Anambra state on Friday, May 17, 2024, held her combined 7th-12th convocation ceremonies with the theme: “Redeeming Ourselves: A Call for True Citizenship”.
The ceremony which took place at the university’s convocation arena was graced by dignitaries, educationists, community leaders, government functionaries, including Senator Victor Umeh, the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District who is also the Chancellor of the university.
Others are Professor Chinenye Stella Okunna; the first female Professor of Mass Communication and currently the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Paul University, Awka; Dr Uche Onyegbu, Rector Federal Polytechnic, Oko; Barr Jude Onyejegbu (Orimili Ezeahu Oraifite); Mr. Felix Akosa; Emma Bishop Okonkwo (,Okpuluisi Sulu Oraonu); Sir Kingsley Udechukwu; Chief Valentine Ozigbo, among others.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Euguene Nwadialor in an opening speech, appreciated the guests and advised students to always pay attention to lectures for academic excellence.
Senator Umeh in his speech, thanked everyone for coming and assured of his support in rallying round for the progress of the university. He wished the graduands success as they move into the labour market as well advised the under graduates to be studious in order to graduate with good results to make the university and their families proud.
In their separate speeches, the Rector Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr Onyebgu and Barr Onyejegbu congratulated the graduands and commended the Tansian University management. They wished the newly installed Chancellor, Senator Umeh well and prayed for God’s wisdom and grace upon him.
In a closing remark , the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Charles Onochie thanked everyone for their patience and active participation all through the lecture .
