There was a massive turnout of members on Sunday December 8, 2024 at Akabuokwu Uruagu–Nnewi, Anambra State, when the New Covenant of God Mission held her Annual Thanksgiving Service.

It was a very successful event which saw members and their guests come out in joy and happiness to give thanks and praises to God for all His mercies and goodness.

Speaking during a brief chat after the service, the Apostle of the Church and Presiding Archbishop of Masterseed College Of Bishops and Ministers Network USA and Nigeria, ArchBishop Prof. Emmadavid Okafoagu JP2 said: “We gave thanks to God in a special way because of what He has been doing for us since the beginning of the year.

“I’m so grateful that the Thanksgiving Service went on smoothly from beginning to the end, ” he said.

On the theme which says: “Riches in Christ he noted that it was the reason Jesus gave the world Himself.

“And when we believe in Him, the riches of good health, money, children, wisdom, knowledge and understanding will get to us, “he admonished.

He described the response as very wonderful as people responded to the extent that the hall was filled to capacity.

On his expectations, the Archbishop said: “My expectation is that the blessing received today for thanking God will manifest before the end of the year.

Encouraging the members, he said that the God who made them to come at this difficult time and made them to give even more than expected would surprise them beyond their expectations.

He advised everyone to have faith in God. According to him: “We walk by faith and not by sight. I advise people not to use what they see or hear to judge their situations. Let them know that the God of Light has given them Light and because they are Light, no darkness will prevail against them.”

At the end of the service, members and their guests were lavishly entertained with food, drink and good music.
