NAUTH BoT Chairman, Dalori satisfied with what he sees on ground, as Prof Ugboaja thanks President Tinubu for great support

 

The new Board Chairman of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi Anambra State, Hon Ali Buka Dalori has expressed satisfaction with what he saw on ground at the permanent site of the health institution.

Hon Dalori during his maiden walking visit at the health facility on Thursday, February 13, 2025 commended the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Prof Joseph Ugboaja.

 Hon Dalori said he was delighted to serve as the Board Chairman of the NAUTH. He commended Mr President’s commitment to ensure access to good healthcare, saying that this was made possible by the skilled and motivated professionals at work.

Dalori disclosed that his top three agenda were welfare, wellbeing, and motivation which he said would be his priority during his tenure as the BoT Chairman.

Prof Ugboaja in a statement described Dalori as a distinguished administrator, accomplished businessman, and a political leader.

He noted that Dalori is a man of integrity, honesty, adding that he is hardworking with the ability to transform.

He appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof Muhamed Ali Pate for their outstanding support to the health institution.

He disclosed that NAUTH mega projects remained a testament of Mr President’s love for the Igbo and the people of the South East region.

He further disclosed some major achievements of the NAUTH so far to include building 2,000-bed capacity facility; 120-bed Trauma Center and Surgical Emergency Unit; 120-bed Medical Emergency Unit incorporating the ICU and Renal Center; 200-bed Surgery Ward Complex incorporating 5 theater suites.

Others are 200-bed Medical Ward incorporating private wards; 120-bed Mother and Child Center with 4 theater suites; Modern Delivery Suites; 50-bed SCBU and 4 private delivery rooms as well as 200 seat capacity ICT Center, among others.

He also said that the health institution’s major achievement in 2025 would be the establishment of multi-billion Naira regional Radio-Diagnostic Center attracted by the NAUTH for the entire South East geo-political zone to reverse medical tourism from the region and beyond.

He expressed his  gratitude to the stakeholders and his team members who he said had been working hard to ensure the vision of his administration to make NAUTH one of  the best hospitals in Nigeria a dream come true.
