Youths in Awka South LGA have declared their support for the Chairmanship aspiration of Hon Engr Ezekiel Nwokoye ahead the August 29 local government polls.
The youths comprising different professionals, students and businessmen and women, under the banner of ‘Youths for Engr Nwokoye’ made the declaration in a press conference in Awka.
Coordinator of the group, Comrade Tony Emmanuel said they have critically examined all persons aspiring for the position of Mayor Awka South LGA and discovered that Nwokoye is the right person for the plumb job.
He said as the Amawbia born sweet merchant has all the necessary requirements to take the Council area to the next level in all ramifications.
He said, “We are tired of reading about the exploits other local government areas are recording, it is time for Awka South to take her pride of place among the comity of council areas.
“And to get that done, the right person must be given the opportunity to pilot the affairs of the capital city LGA in the next dispensation.
“We appreciate the individuals who have at one point or the other occupied the chairmanship position of Awka South LGA, they have tried their best but it is time to up the game.
“In stepping up the game, a game changer, Hon Engr Ezekiel Nwokoye is the man who can walk the talk.”
Emmanuel appealed to all and sundry in Awka South LGA to join hands in the making of a Mayor who will take the council area to her promised land.
“Gov Charles Soludo is unarguably doing very well as Anambra State number one man, Hon Nwokoye is the only personality who can compliment the efforts of the governor in Awka South.
“He has the experience, he has the reach, he is adequately educated and of course, he is a goal getter who doesn’t believe in impossibilities.
“He is the square peg for the square hole of Awka South LGA, we have to put forward the best hand to do the job this time.
“Time will not permit me to roll out the curriculum vitae of Hon Engr Ezekiel Nwokoye, Awka South constituency will be better off under the watchful eyes of the widely traveled, educated and knowledgeable personality from Amawbia 1 constituency,” he asserted.
