Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has shown sadness over the shocking news of beheaded couple in Bende Local Government Area of the State.
The victims, Jacob Udo and his wife, Comfort, were murdered and dismembered by unknown assailants.
A press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Ukoha Njoku Ukoha said Governor Otti had directed security operatives in the State to thoroughly investigate and fish out the perpetrators.
“The Governor, on behalf of the Government of Abia State, commiserates with the family of the victims and assures that the government is working round the clock to bring the perpetrators of the heinous crime to justice.
“He has also directed government officials to see how the dependents can be assisted in the interim,” the release said.
