The Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in the 2025 Anambra State election, George Moghalu, has called on Nigerians, particularly Ndị Anambra to rededicate themselves to the service of God and humanity as they celebrate Easter.

Moghalu made the call on Saturday, April 4, while speaking with journalists at his country home in Uruagu, Nnewi.

He extended warm Easter greetings to Nigerians and urged them to engage in deep reflection to better understand the true meaning of the season.

According to him, Easter represents sacrifice, love, and selflessness, values he said should be evident in the lives of all citizens.

He encouraged Nigerians to be their brother’s keeper, adding that such acts would help manifest the essence of Easter and promote peace across the country.

“I use this opportunity to appeal for peace in the entire nation, especially in Anambra State. Let us do whatever we can to be our brother’s keeper and extend love to one another,” he said.

Reflecting on the significance of Christ’s sacrifice, Moghalu added: “Jesus died that we may live. He bore our sins and demonstrated extreme love. We must, therefore, ask ourselves to what extent we can reflect those attributes, love, faithfulness, loyalty, and practical Christianity, in our daily lives.”

He further urged Nigerians to pray for leaders at all levels, particularly in challenging times, and to extend compassion to the less privileged in society.

Moghalu also expressed appreciation to his supporters for their loyalty and confidence during the 2025 governorship election. He called on them to continue supporting the current administration, noting that the success of government ultimately benefits the people.

Reaffirming his commitment to service, he said he would continue to dedicate himself to humanity through community efforts and his foundation, the Zimuzo Development Foundation.

“For me, I will keep doing my best for the people within my capacity. Above all, I am committed to serving God, because power is a sacred trust given by God for the benefit of humanity,” he said.
