Dr Nwakaibeya Oraifite celebrates Iri-ji festival with fervor

Oraifite town in Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra State, was brimming with life and culture on Sunday, December 15, as Tr. Dr. Nkemjika Uzoetue
( Dr. Nwakaibeya Oraifite), a revered traditional healer marked Iri-ji festival in style.

The vibrant celebration, held at the compound of Tr. Dr Uzoetue, brought together villagers, well-wishers, and friends to celebrate their rich heritage and honour a man who has long been a beacon of strength and tradition.

The Iri-ji festival, an important annual harvest celebration in Igbo culture, is a time to give thanks to the gods for the year’s blessings and to pray for future prosperity.

In his address, Dr. Uzoetue emphasized the importance of the festival in strengthening unity and fostering community development. He also called on the youths to serve as role models and contribute to the betterment of their communities.

The event was graced by notable leaders such as Comrade Peter Amamchukwu, High Chief Chukwuebuka Ubasinachi, High Chief Jude Oraekwute, Osiriora Nwatamaluifediliya and Chief Ndubuisi Agbanusi, who lauded Dr. Uzoetue’s leadership and commitment to the cultural and spiritual growth of Oraifite.

They prayed for his continued success and long life, acknowledging him as a man of integrity and vision.
