APGA honours Ezeokenwa @ 41

Anambra State capital, came alive as National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, marked his 41st birthday with a thanksgiving Mass attended by political leaders, government officials and party stakeholders.

The event commenced with a thanksgiving Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Awka, officiated by Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor.

In his homily, the Bishop underscored the importance of gratitude to God and the need for Christians to remember and celebrate key spiritual milestones, particularly baptism.

He commended Barr. Ezeokenwa for returning thanks to God and welcomed members of various political parties, emphasizing unity beyond partisan lines.

Speaking at the event, Barrister Ezeokenwa described the thanksgiving Mass as the most significant aspect of his birthday celebration. He disclosed that he marked the occasion by visiting orphanage and welfare homes across the state and appealed for support to assist priests in welfare homes.

He also expressed appreciation to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for his developmental strides in Anambra State.

Member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency Hon. Paschal Agbodike, described the celebrant as one of the youngest party chairmen in Nigeria, praising his leadership and noting that the large turnout reflected APGA’s growing strength and acceptance.

Goodwill messages from party leaders and stakeholders highlighted Barr. Ezeokenwa’s role in stabilizing the party and promoting youth participation in leadership.

Dignitaries at the event included Hon. Member representing Awka North and Awka South Federal Constituency Hon. Lilian Orogbu, Chief of Staff to Anambra State Government Chief Ernest Ezeajughi, Commissioner for Ministry of Information Dr. Law Mefor, Commissioner for Housing Hon. Pauly Onyeka, Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) Dr. Ossy Onuko, CEO Seahorse Lubricant Industries Limited Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo, Mayor Orumba North LGA Hon. Casmir Nwafor, among others.

The event highlighted the increasing influence of young leadership in Anambra State and reaffirmed the place of faith and service in public life.
