Double Tragedy: Eziowelle community mourns death of two brothers

Akpudo family in Okpaliko Eziowelle, Idemmili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, joined by friends from various parts of Igboland and beyond, especially Enugu state, bade a tearful farewell to their beloved brothers, Chief Foster Bomboy Udenze Akpudo (Obialunozo), alias Shagasha, aged 55, and Arthur Akpudo, aged 57.

Until their demise, the late Foster and Arthur Akpudo were devoted Christians and hardworking men, renowned for their cheerfulness and generosity. They left behind a legacy of love, including brothers, sisters, in-laws, and numerous relatives, such as the National President of ASATU, Chief Barr. Titus Nnabuike, Hon. Sir James Akpudo, Chief Jideofor Akpudo, among others.

The funeral was attended by friends, well-wishers, associates, age grade, family meeting, and other organizations, who gathered to pay their respects and mourn with the family.

Hon. Sir Akudo James Ibezimako (Ife Eziowelle) eulogized his late brothers, praising their humbleness, honesty, and hard work, noting that their death will create a significant void in the family.

Ife Eziowelle expressed gratitude to God for the successful burial and thanked all contributors, especially the PG of Eziowelle (their family brother), and others who ensured that the funeral was successful. He appreciated the attendees.

Dignitaries from far and wide attended, including Mr Emeka Raphael (Sarafi), ex-Rangers player; Nze Ukwu Okenwa Ewudo, Iduu Eri Kingdom; Chief Chukwuemekalum Ugodeme, Obi Adama Il of Oraukwu kingdom; Sir Uchenna Osiji, Ichie Oba Eziowelle; Hon. Valentine Ozigbo; and all ASATU members, both indigenes and non-indigenes, who came to support their National President.
