What Gov Soludo achieves in first tenure surpasses what other Govs couldn’t achieve in 8 yrs- Nnewi North TC Chairman

The Nnewi NorthTransition Committee Chairman, Anambra State, Engr Chris Obiora has described Prof Charles Soludo as the best performing Governor across Nigeria, expressing satisfaction with members of the press though with reservations.

The TC Chairman in an interactive session with some journalists who paid him a visit recently said that Governor Soludo in his first tenure had surpassed what many other Governors could not achiev in eight years.

He said that Governor Soludo was doing wonderfully well in all aspects of development of the state, adding that he as the TC Chairman in Nnewi North was following the footsteps of the Governor at the grassroots level.

“Our Governor is the best in the whole of Nigeria. He has built so many kilometers of roads virtually in every part of Anambra state with drainage systems here and there. He has provided seedlings to farmers in the state for the current planting season and recruited over 8,000 teachers in the state. There is a whole lot of improvement in school standards in Anambra state.

“Look at healthcare delivery which has now greatly improved. Many Governors could not do that even in eight years. Our Governor has really done well and his being voted for second tenure is not in doubt, it’s guaranteed, “he said.

“In this local government, we have done a lot in infrastructure and renovations. We met dilapidated infrastructure but we have been able to give the council headquarters a new look. Our renovative and construction works have been extended to other areas in the council in line with the philosophy of our performing Governor. No area is left untouched, “he added.

On his relationship with the press, the TC Chairman said it was cordial but disclosed that some journalists would come to his office to interview him without publishing the story anywhere.

“Some of you are very good and you try to report my comments. But some will come and interview me and it won’t be published anywhere and there it ends. But most of the time you bring the hard copy or send me the link of the report. I appreciate that because it makes me have confidence the reporter. By and large, I think my office is press friendly.

“I believe there is press freedom in Anambra state and Nigeria generally unlike in a military era where the press does not enjoy this level of freedom, “he concluded.
