Prince Patrick Ifeanyichukwu Anazodo, known as Akaomajideaku, former President General of Ndimgbu community in Otolo Nnewi, recently paid a condolence visit to the Onyema family in Ndiakwu Otolo Nnewi following the passing of their father, Mr Okwuchukwu Godwin Onyema, who died at the age of 71 years. The CEO of Super Car Special Quality was accompanied by family, friends, well-wishers, and associates.
Until his death, Mr Godwin Onyema, affectionately known as “Iko Onye Jiama,” was a devoted Christian and a hardworking man dedicated to providing his children with quality education and upbringing. A respected community leader and generous giver, he leaves behind wives, children, siblings, and numerous relatives mourning his loss.
The funeral commenced with a church service at his family home, officiated by several priests from St. Christopher’s Anglican Church, Ndiakwu Otolo Nnewi. Friends, well-wishers, family associates, and various church bodies, social clubs, and organizations were present to grace the event.
Speaking to reporters about his late father-in-law, Prince Patrick Anazodo described him as a role model for fathers, noting his humility, honesty, and hard work.
He said that Mr Onyema’s demise left a void in the family. Hon. Onyekwelu Kizito, also known as Sir Politics, expressed condolences to the family and encouraged them to uphold their father’s legacies.
In his appreciation, Akaoma thanked God for the life of his father-in-law and expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the funeral and attended the service.
He reflected on the meaning of his father-in-law’s name, “Iko Onye Jiama,” which he said translated to “the way you treat people is the way people will treat you.”
Akaoma extended special thanks to prominent figures who attended the funeral, including Chief Maduka Atueyi, PG Nzuk-Ora Nnewi; Chief Innocent Okoli (Makuachukwu Nnewi, Organizer Oil and Gas); PG Otolo Adukwulu; former and current chairmen of NASPA; and Hon. Prince Okene Azubuko (Okpataozuora), among others.
