It is quite obvious that those who do not want law to exist in Anambra State are oppositions, political jobbers and those who want to reap where they did not sow.
People who have lived in Anambra State in the past five to six years ago should testify that the state was in total disarray due to non compliance of law especially in the area of environmental management.
Imagine somebody who calls himself human being should have impetus to write trash in Punch Newspaper saying” Soludo, Solution is not here” adding that Anambra environmental sector is less than-efficient.
It is very embarrassing to Ndi Anambra to read such trash and fake propaganda in a daily Newspaper mostly this time God has answered Anambra’s prayers through Professor Charles Soludo.
The question remains why should people don’t like precious things from God and prefer backbiting and fake news against Soludo who God sent to redeem Anambra State?
Why should some people deliberately want to take Anambra State back to Egypt by sabotaging OCHA Brigade that has sanitized Anambra State especially Onitsha ? Does it mean that Anambra State will continue to remain lawless ? What is exactly the offence of OCHA Brigade committed?
Professor Soludo in his wisdom as the Anambra State Governor on assuming duty critically evaluated the state and noticed that environmental health is critical issue and empowered OCHA Brigade to be one of agencies to oversee the health management and since then the agency has been living up to expectations (Upper Iweka to Bridge Head as a case study).
However, it will be a journey to Golgotha for Ndi Anambra State if eventually through fake news and political propaganda they fail to return Soludo in his second term bid.
Meanwhile, Anambra residents in there separate speeches have outrightly condemned the publication in the Punch Newspaper where somebody called agency created by Professor Soludo’s administration ” Solution touts”
” OCHA Brigade is not tout. We are aware of that. Those who are sabotaging OCHA Brigade are wasting their time. If I have opportunity to meet Governor Soludo, I will ask him to create additional portfolio for OCHA Brigade because they are working” Chief Victory Elila.
” My brother, I read the publication in the Punch Newspaper but I ignored it because enemies are at work . The writer said, he was on transit passing Upper Iweka and at the same time monitored whether there was a place wrote ” Do not urinate” So, the writer in question contradicted him” Nze Onuchukwu.
” I lives in Onitsha. OCHA Brigade can not demand #100,000 from urinating offenders. That publication is fake and away to demoralize OCHA Brigade from their duties or a tactics to induce Soludo to dissolve OCHA Brigade so that Upper Iweka would be messing up again. I tell you, OCHA Brigade can not collect more than 10k from urinating offenders. My casine was once a victim” Hon Fredrick Izuchukwu.
” Oga, our people needs iron hands to be governed successfully. If you don’t use force in this state, nobody will obey any law. Forget what that person is writing against OCHA Brigade. There are some designated places to urinate in Upper Iweka. So, if any person fall victim, let the person pay penalty” Okey fashion.
” The person who wrote the publication should be fished out and be arrested. They are people who don’t want Anambra State to have peace. Functions of OCHA Brigade is to ensure that people comply with environmental law not to sweep gutter. Let OCHA Brigade continue their duties” Elder Onyekachi Nwabuike.
Reacting on the publication in the Punch Newspaper, the Onitsha OCHA Brigade coordinator, Mr. Ejike Odife said someone called his attention to the publication.
He denied what the writer was alleging, saying that it was handiwork of enemies of the state government.
” For clearity sake, OCHA Brigade can never collect any penalty fees more than #10,000 from someone who urinated in unauthorized place. We have specified penalty fees and Government bank account where offenders pay their penalty fees. Again, OCHA Brigade don’t operate with ATM or POS. We have more than fifteen places from Upper Iweka to Bridge Head where public urinating place was provided for anybody who wants to urinate” Said Odife.
He appealed the general public to ignore such fake news, saying that OCHA Brigade is purely agency created by state government under law and can not in any way go contrary to the law.
He used the medium to appreciate Soludo for empowering OCHA Brigade through Chief Celestine Anere who doubles as the State Director of the agency as well lauded Chief Anere for his eyes on OCHA Brigade activities so that they operate within the ambit of law.
