In order to ensure that the Super Eagles enjoy mother luck in their quarterfinal game against Angola on Friday, members of Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) have embarked on fasting and prayers for the national team.
Sporting Sun reports that the Super Eagles will on Friday at the Stade Felix Houphouet Boigny, Abidjan meet the Parancas Negras in the first quarterfinals match of the tournament.
Speaking on their level of preparation to support the Eagles ahead of the crucial encounter, President General of the club, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo said that the fasting began Wednesday will be followed by a road show on Thursday where they intend to drum support for the team among the millions of Nigerians living in the West African country while on Friday, there will be a Jumat Service for the team.
He further explained that the club has been mobilising many of the chapters from all the continents who will be on ground to cheer the Eagles to victory.
Meanwhile, the club has announced the indefinite suspension of the Vice Chairman of the Cote d’Ivoire Chapter, Olarotimi Akinloye A.K.A Laro for anti- club activities.
A statement by the club accused the suspended Vice Chairman of hobnobbing with expelled members of the club and some splinter groups, which runs against the constitution of the club.
