St. Joseph Parish, Ukpo, was formally dedicated in a ceremony marked by excitement, gratitude, and deep spiritual reflection, with the Catholic faithful describing the event as a major milestone in their journey of faith.

Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joachim Ezeani, said the dedication signifies the spiritual maturity of the community. He noted that the project was completed despite years of financial and logistical challenges.
“This is not just the dedication of a building, but a triumph of faith, unity, and perseverance,” he said.
The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, commended parishioners for their commitment and urged them to live lives that reflect true dedication to God.

He emphasized that the church’s consecration should inspire renewed spiritual growth among members.
The parish leadership acknowledged that some projects, including a perimeter fence and parish hall reconstruction, are still ongoing.
The family of Sir Izuchukwu and Lady Nneka Nwabueze also congratulated the parish and appreciated all contributors, while Chairman of the occasion, Chief Moses Okonkwo, recalled the parish’s humble beginnings in the 1980s and urged members to remain steadfast in prayer.
Parishioners expressed joy over the long-awaited dedication and pledged continued support for the growth of the church.
The event featured a Holy Mass, homage to the Bishop, and award presentations to distinguished contributors.
