Soludo’s govt impacts all facets of life in Anambra- senatorial aspirant

Former Managing Director of the Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency, Dr Jude Emecheta has commended Governor Charles Soludo for positively impacting all areas of life in Anambra State.

Emecheta, who is also an aspirant in the upcoming Anambra South senatorial by-election, highlighted the Governor’s contributions to education and healthcare.

“The Governor has done well, especially by employing 8,000 teachers. This is something everyone must commend. He has also employed doctors and nurses to address the state’s healthcare challenges,” he said.

Regarding complaints from members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) about being sidelined, Emecheta said that not everyone can hold a government position at the same time.

He noted that APGA’s membership in the state is large, and it is impossible to satisfy everyone.

However, he emphasised the importance of evenly distributing appointments across various groups.

“If an appointment doesn’t come to you today, it might come tomorrow, but it should be distributed fairly,” he advised.

Emecheta also acknowledged what he described as the entitlement mentality of some long-standing APGA members, who he said felt they should be rewarded for their contributions to the party.

He argued that it was crucial to provide opportunities for younger members to grow, and that a lack of an appointment should not be viewed as a lack of appreciation.

“The Governor has the right to choose those he believes will help him achieve his goals,” he added.

He further suggested that anyone dissatisfied with the current political environment is free to switch parties.

“People move from one party to another all the time. If someone is not comfortable where they are, they can leave. The political space is wide enough to accommodate everyone,” Emecheta concluded.
