Skill acquisition centers, panacea for unemployment crisis, says youth leader

A youth leader in Onitsha, Anambra State, Mazi Chinonso Oranusi, has called on government and public-spirited individuals to establish skill acquisition centers across the country to tackle unemployment crisis.

Oranusi made the call during the inauguration of a music academy at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Parish, Onitsha.

Oranusi emphasized the importance of training unemployed youths in various vocations to reduce unemployment and make them self-reliant. He commended Ngozi Onyedika for initiating the music academy, which he said would train youths in different aspects of music performance.

The youth leader also announced plans to set up a computer studies center in Onitsha, along with other vocational training programmes. He appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to support the initiatives.

Hon. Fred Ezenwa, representing Onitsha South One constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, also spoke in support of establishing youth skill acquisition centers. He noted the rising level of unemployment in the country and urged the government and public-spirited individuals to aid the youths.

Mr. Ndubuisi Ochiogu, another speaker, supported the call for skill acquisition centers, emphasizing their role in creating employment opportunities for youths. He encouraged unemployed youths with musical talents to enroll in the music academy.
