Senator Ubah: I don’t know why God creates death, former Anambra Speaker, Maduagwu queries

The former Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Rita Maduagwu has wondered who would step into the shoes of late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

Maduagwu who was heavy of heart and emotional at late Ubah’s residence in Nnewi to sign a condolence register inadvertently asked why God created death.

She said that the Senator’s death had devastated a lot of people that could not be numbered.

“I’m here to sign the condolence register of my leader, distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Ubah. I don’t just believe that he is dead. I have never seen a thing like this in my life.

“We’re so devastated that each time I sleep, I tell God let this thing be a prank, let it not be real. But as days run by it turns out to be real.

“We don’t know where to cry to. This is a man that joined my party and turned APC around in Anambra State like mad. This is a soldier, it’s unbelievable.

“How can he just die like that? Who can wear his shoes, I don’t even know, we don’t know. It’s just that we cannot question God. If he says it’s going to be like this, you can’t question Him, otherwise this one, we would have asked Him why?

“Where does he want us to go to? Where does he want us to run to? And with him, we are good to go in Anambra State.

“The way it’s now, we are just confused. We’re just believing God because He knows how to amend. We’re still believing that He will amend it. We still believe that God will take care of the family that he left behind.

“We are in trouble but we know that with God we will still survive.

“Everything good has to be done for Ifeanyi. We will not forget his good works, is it security he started in Anambra, Nnewi North and Nnewi South, indeed the Anambra South Senatorial zone. He deserves anything good to immortalize his name.

“It’s difficult to fill this vacuum. This is a real vacuum. I don’t know why God created death, I don’t know what to say again, “she said.
