July 20, 2024, marked a special day for Dr Davidson Ozoemena (Okaobuluzo) and his sweetheart, Dr Ruby Egbo, a day they exchanged marital vows to become husband and wife.
The wedding ceremony, held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Unizik Temp Site, Awka, Anambra State, was officiated by Rev. Fr. Louis Nwobi and Rev. Fr. Alphonsus Obiekezie.
In his homily, Rev. Fr. Obiekezie encouraged the newlyweds to embrace unconditional love, despite life’s challenges. He also highlighted marriage as a divine institution, ordained by God for His people.
The grand reception took place at Oganiru Executive Hall, Hilton Leisure Hotel, Awka, Anambra State.
Speaking to journalists after the wedding reception, the groom, Dr Ozoemena described the day as the happiest of his life, having finally found his life partner. He praised his new wife as God’s gift, possessing all the qualities he desired in a woman.
Dr Ozoemena expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success, particularly his brother and club members.
Notable attendees from Real Diamond Forever Club included Chief Anayo Ifemeluma (Onowu Enugu-ukwu na Umunri), pioneer Chancellor, High Chief Arthur Mbuba (Otoramkpa na Agu-ukwu Nri), Chairman of the Board of Trustees and State Director of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Engr. Ugochukwu Achabe (Okosisi), emeritus vice-chancellor.
The guests affirmed that they attended the event to support their member, encourage the couple, and show solidarity. They advised the couple to live in peace and avoid third-party involvement in any misunderstanding.
They prayed for the couple’s continued joy, success, and a lifetime of happiness, with children to care for them and divine replenishment for their expenses.
