PDP, ADC leaders meet in Abuja ahead of 2027


Top opposition figures on Wednesday held a closed-door meeting in Abuja, signaling possible political realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections.


Vanguard reports he meeting, hosted by former Senate President David Mark, brought together key members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Among those present were former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, and several prominent political stakeholders.
Also in attendance were Abubakar Malami, Rotimi Amaechi, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Aminu Tambuwal, Peter Obi, and other senior party figures.
Although details of the discussions were not disclosed, sources say the talks may focus on strengthening opposition unity and strategy for upcoming elections.
